A native of Azusa, California, Eldon has been involved with SBTS in
one form or another for the past four years. For SBTS: Flute/Thisby in A
Midsummer Night's Dream, Stephano in The Tempest, Touchstone in As You Like
It, Shaking It Up With Shakespeare '01. For Little Fish Theatre Company: Raised
in Captivity, Laundry & Bourbon/Lone Star (named as one of the top ten
productions in the South Bay 2002), Barefoot in the Park. In Los Angeles: John

Andy Kallok (Captain/Lord Oliver/Priest; Lord Capulet)
Last summer, Andy toured with Shakespeare by the Sea as Duncan in Macbeth and as Leonato in Much Ado About Nothing. This past spring, he was Horace Vandergelder in The Matchmaker for the Kentwood Players. He has acted in numerous theater productions throughout Southern California, including Spider's Web and An Act of the Imagination for Palos Verdes Players; Forty Carats, Ten Little Indians, and Arsenic and Old Lace for the Kentwood Players; and Murder in Green Meadows for Actors Repertory Theater. His film work includes roles in the award-winning independent productions The Bible and Gun Club, Good Housekeeping, and The Hook-Armed Man.

Erik Strom (Sir Andrew Aguecheck/ Fight Guy #2; Abraham/Bathasar/Servant)
This is Erik's first time working with Shakespeare by the Sea and he is happy
to be a part of their 2003 season. He was previously seen in productions in
the L.A. area of Getting Away With Murder, Hay Fever, Ubu Rex, Any Number Can
Die, etc. Erik has also done productions of Trojan Women, Jean, and Picasso
at the Lapin Agile in Moorhead Minnesota's Hanson Theater. He has attended
three universities, double-majoring in theater and English, and has trained as an
actor with Pathway Productions, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and
Hollywood's Actors Co-Op.

F. Christopher Williams (Gregory/2nd Servant/Friar John/2nd Watchman)
F. Christopher Williams hails from Philadelphia. He started acting in high school with the play Pippin, and has had the "bug" ever since. He is a Spoken Word Artist, a comedian, and a writer, and has a doctorate in counseling. Although he is quite passionate about counseling, acting will always be a major part of
his life. He moved to L.A. a little over a year ago and hopes to make a living acting in plays and films. This is his first play with Shakespeare by the Sea.

Karen Harrison (Nurse)
Karen is thrilled to be returning to the stage in her SBTS debut. A native Texan and graduate of the acting program at the University of Texas at Austin, Karen has lived in Los Angeles for two and a half years. While here, she has appeared in several commercials and independent films. Between Texas and California, Karen spent some time in the Midwest acting and teaching theatre to school age children at Theatre for Young America in Kansas City. In addition to pursuing her on-camera and voice-over career, Karen also works in film production/development for a producer on the Paramount Lot. Some of her favorite roles include Sally in A Lie of the Mind, Mueller in God's Country, and Agnes in Ludlow Fair.

L. Jeffrey Moore (Prince/Apothecary)
L. Jeffrey Moore comes from Minneapolis, via Greensboro, North Carolina, making this his California debut. Jeff holds two degrees, a BFA from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Jeff has been in many projects on both film and stage, but some of his favorite productions have been: Sam in Master Harold and the Boys, Detective Charles Smith in the thriller Olympia, Valentine in The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Dan in the mockumentary The Gale Whitmen Show, John in an original script Every Night Mickey, and the title role in Shakespeare's Macbeth. Jeff is also set to teach acting during the summer with the "All About Kids" summer program.

Patrick Vest (Malvolio; Mercutio)
Patrick is thrilled to return to SBTS. Last summer, he played Macbeth here, in what he considers to be the best experience of his career. These two shows bring Patrick up to 22 Shakespeare productions in his acting life. He started at the tender age of 18 by playing Romeo, and most recently he was seen at Little Fish as Petruchio in Taming of the Shrew. His other favorite Shakespeare roles include Prince Hal, Oberon, Cloten and Pericles. Aside from Shakespeare, Patrick also created, starred in, and toured a one-man show about Henry David Thoreau. Patrick has studied acting all over the country, but he credits Bob Carnegie with teaching him what acting really is. He is currently studying with Jack Stehlin.

Rachel Levy (Maria; Lady Montague/Paris' Page)
Rachel Levy originally hails from Seattle and is excited to make her debut with Shakespeare by the Sea. She has a BA in Drama from the University of Washington and has also trained in London and Los Angeles. Recently, she was seen in Santa Barbara's Lobero Theater performing Speaking of Stories: Holiday Chestnuts with Linda Gray. Additionally, Rachel was just seen in the South Bay area with the Little Fish/ART Theater's The Lady's Not for Burning, where she played Margaret. Other favorite productions include Cloud Nine, Sincerity Forever, and Cymbeline. Rachel is also currently pursuing a career in Film and Television.

Samantha Figura (Juliet)
Samantha Figura, a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in performing arts, has most recently been seen in a production of The Laramie Project with director Jessica Thebus of Steppenwolf Theatre. Her other roles include Katherine in Taming of the Shrew, a parent in The Nutcracker with award-winning director Larry Long, Hypatia in Misalliance, Edward/Victoria in Cloud Nine, and The Beaux Strategem at Oxford University.

Zack Kinney (Sebastian; Tybalt)
Zack Kinney hails from Metaline Falls, nestled in the mountains of northeastern Washington. His first love has always been the theatre. He received his A.B. in Drama from Stanford University, where several memorable roles included Duperret in Marat/Sade, Astolfo in Life is a Dream, and Mother in La Festa (his own translation of acclaimed Italian playwright/actor Spiro Scimone's text). In addition to performing on stage and screen in both northern and southern California, he has worked extensively as a translator with the Teatro della Limonaia in Italy and the National Theatre in London. Currently, he can be seen performing at both ImprovOlympic and Second City with the improvisational group "The Institution." He will also be starring in the upcoming independent feature film Welcome to Tomorrow, from Gateway Productions.

Wayne Thornton (Constantine; Friar Laurence)
A veteran actor, Wayne has been performing for over thirty-five years. He holds a BA in Theatre Arts from San Diego State and a Masters from the University of Minnesota. His recent local performances were as Creon in Antigone at the Knightsbridge and Egeus in A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Raven. Recent television and film performances were as Jeremiah Smith in Lost Legends of the West on the Discovery Channel, Dr. Von Cassell in Black Wedding, and Professor Williams in The Recital.

Jenny Myers (Viola/Cesario)
Jenny is excited to be with Shakespeare by the Sea after having been in The Tempest and As You Like It in 2001. She has studied in NYC at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and is currently studying with the Groundlings and Diana Castle. Favorite stage roles include: Abigail in The Crucible and Annie in The Real Thing in New York, Rosemary in Rosemary with Ginger, and Miranda in The Tempest. Jenny is a writer, has been in independent films, and has performed in several sketch comedy shows in Los Angeles.

Matt Ducey (Antonio; Benvolio)
Matt graduated from San Francisco State University in 2001 with a degree in Drama and Music, and has been residing in the L.A. area for just over a year. Now 25, he has been performing on stage and screen as an actor and singer since he was nine. One of the highlights of his acting career was performing in the 1999 Marin County Mountain Play West Side Story before an audience of 5,000. He also starred as Abner in Lil' Abner in 1998 for the Town Players in the San Anselmo Creek Park, so Matt is no stranger to the outdoor theater venue.

Alex Czuleger (Francois/Flosse; Samson/Peter/Watchman)
This is Alex's first professional appearance on stage. After touring with SBTS, he will be attending Sonoma State University in California's wine country. Alex has performed as Malvolio from his previous run of Twelfth Night at the Norris Pavilion in Rolling Hills Estates or from one of his numerous roles at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School.

Andy is delighted to be spending his first season with SBTS. He hails from the Sunshine State of Florida, where he graduated with a BFA in performance theatre. After playing Tybalt in the Orlando Shakespeare Festival's production of R&J.

Tim Brown (Orsino; Paris)
Tim is very excited about his first opportunity to work with Shakespeare by the Sea, and to be performing in both Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night. His acting career began about six years ago when he was in college and was cast in The Madwoman of Chaiot. He then decided to major in Theater Arts and began studying acting as much as possible. He has been in Los Angeles for three years now pursuing a career in film and television. This is his first opportunity to perform Shakespeare.

Chris Roberts (Sir Toby Belch; Lord Montague)
Chris recently directed Blood Brothers, the musical by Willy Russell, which opened at the Westchester Playhouse and continued its run at the Knightsbridge Los Angeles Theatre. He finds directing and acting both extremely rewarding. He was born and raised in Boston. After having a brief stint in the United States Marine Corps and attending Fordham College in New York (where he played Cassio in Othello), Chris moved to Los Angeles. Some of his credits include Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman, Cervantes/Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, Charlie Castle in The Big Knife, Richard in Moon Over Buffalo, Martin Dysart in Equus, Ross/Bishop in The Elephant Man, and George in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? His favorite role is Arthur in Camelot.

Robin Cowart (Valentine)
Robin is a graduate of New York University where he got his BFA in Drama. Twelfth Night is his first time working with Shakespeare By The Sea. While in NY, Robin was in numerous productions at the Stella Adler Conservatory as part of their Company. Since moving to Los Angeles, he has directed both film and stage, produced a film, which he also wrote, and acted on stage and in film. His love and goal is acting. Robin's new short, "Harry," will soon be seen in festivals in LA, and will be available shortly on the web.

Caroline Benzon left the quiet suburbs of Washington, D.C. for Los Angeles to pursue her passion for singing and received a BA in Music from UCLA. She was first introduced to SBTS and LFTC as a volunteer last year. She was last seen stage managing ART and LFTC's joint production of The Lady's Not for Burning and LFTC's Random Picks, a series of original works. She is thrilled to be working again with SBTS. Recently, she completed writing the theme song for an independent film and is currently busy writing and producing her second CD.

David Osborne (Director - Romeo and Juliet) came to Los Angeles from Atlanta, GA.. In the actor's tradition, he has drifted from here to there and has had many jobs - including BMW salesman and gravedigger. You may have seen David last year in Shakespeare by the Sea's productions of Much Ado About Nothing and Macbeth and recently in The Lady's Not for Burning at the Little Fish Theatre. His other credits include The Nerd, The Fantasticks, As You Like It, The Pirates of Penzance, Deathtrap, and She Loves Me.

Lisa Coffi (Artistic Producing Director & Director, Twelfth Night) is the founding member of Shakespeare by the Sea (SBTS). She holds an MFA in Theatre Management from CSU, Long Beach and a BFA in Two-Dimensional Art from CSU, Sacramento. She has created, launched, and administered multiple SBTS youth programs and is now producing contemporary and classic theatre year-round with SBTS's most recent endeavor - Little Fish Theatre Co. (LFTC). Along with producing and administering the Shakespeare by the Sea programs, Lisa works as a freelance graphic designer around the South Bay.

Roxanne Wong became involved with Shakespeare by the Sea last summer by volunteering in house management for Much Ado About Nothing and Macbeth. She enjoyed the experience so much that she continued to volunteer for Little Fish Theatre Company. Roxanne was the stage manager for last fall's production of The Illusion. When she isn't spending her time at the theatre, Roxanne works at 3M as a client services manager. Roxanne earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from UC San Diego and an MBA from UC Irvine. She enjoys photography, rollerblading, playing the piano, ballroom dancing, and traveling. Her most recent journeys have been to China, Australia and New Zealand.

Troy Cox is an actor, stage manager and painter. He has recently returned to California from Florida, having spent his childhood in San Diego. His most recent theatrical experience included stage managing for the Dixie Theatre in the panhandle of Florida, owned by the stage manager of the original production of My Fair Lady. He is excited to be beginning his theatre experience in the L.A. area with a company as strong as Shakespeare by the Sea.

Myriam Joseph recently relocated to Long Beach from Boston. She has a great love of the arts, which is reflected in her varied range of experiences. She has worked with Mikel Rouse as both production coordinator and performer in the acclaimed Dennis Cleveland. She most recently served as Producer and Assistant Director for the staged reading of The Secret Love Life of Ophelia at The WorkShop in New York City. This is her first summer with Shakespeare by the Sea.

Valerie Wright (Costume Designer) is an experienced costume and couture designer. She has a bachelor's degree in fashion design from the Otis Art Institute of Parson's School of Design. She has created gowns for the Academy and Emmy Awards and has costumed actors and singers such as Christy Clark, Amy Smart, and Cree Summer. Valerie has also designed numerous costumes for the Los Angeles Children's Ballet Theater and the Bread and Jam Theater group. Valerie's main forte is period costuming, but she also loves designing fantasy and ethereal styles as well. She also enjoys incorporating mixed media into her creations, such as metalwork and plastics, in addition to using influences from her travels through Brasil, Europe, and Japan. Valerie is native Angelinan, has a nine-year old son, and is a hyperbaric oxygen chamber manufacturer as well as a high-end designer.
