Shakespeare by the Sea's 2009 Season has concluded

Shakespeare by the Sea's 12th season which included productions of As You Like It and Love's Labour's Lost opened on June 11 and ran through August 8 for a total of nine weeks.  Councilwoman Janice Hahn helped kick off our opening at our Champagne Toast at Point Fermin Park. along with Aaron Aalcides, Vice President of Malaga Bank, and Mark Mariscal, Region Superintendant LA City Department of Recreation and Parks.

Over 18,000 people attended our productions -- either at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro or at one of the 14 other cities we visited throughout LA and Orange County.

Our hats are off to the community members and local businesses who supported our free performances and helped keep them admission free.

Thanks for attending Hamlet II

Our "back lot" show -- Hamlet II: better than the original -- was a huge success!  Over 550 people attended our ticketed offering at Little Fish Theatre which raised over $10,000 to support Shakespeare by the Sea's admission free performances.
