SEEKS HOST VENUES FOR PERFORMANCES IN JULY & AUGUST March 10, 2010, LOS ANGELES, CA - Shakespeare by the Sea is proud to announce the show selections for their 2010 summer season of free outdoor performances.
TWELFTH NIGHT - A madcap romp filled with mistaken identities, cunning plans, and miraculous discoveries. Love and madness collide in this giddy Shakespearean comedy. TWELFTH NIGHT is directed by Amy Louise Sebelius and opens June 10, 2010 at 8PM in Point Fermin Park.
JULIUS CAESAR - A swift and enthralling political thriller where ambition and patriotism go head to head. Shakespearean tragedy at its very best. JULIUS CAESAR is directed by Stephanie Coltrin and opens June 11, 2010 at 8PM in Point Fermin Park.
After performing in repertory at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro for four weeks these two full length Shakespeare productions will hit the road traveling throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties through the end of the July and returning for their final performances at Point Fermin Park, with JULIUS CAESAR closing on August 6th and TWELFTH NIGHT closing August 7th.
Cities on this year's tour include: Newport Beach, South Pasadena, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Laguna Niguel, Carson, Rossmoor and Glendale. We will update our website as cities are added to the tour.

Shakespeare by the Sea has been presenting quality, admission-free performances of Shakespeare classics throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties for over ten years. These free performances have become a tradition for thousands of Los Angeles families. Last year's attendance reached near 20,000 total audience members.
Shakespeare by the Sea's mission is to bring new, contemporary and classic works to underserved, culturally diverse audiences in order to ignite imagination, promote literacy and encourage artistic expression.
