Jodi Gilbert

Jodi Gilbert now drives from Corona every summer to attend the shows at Point Fermin park.  She has been coming since 2000 to experience Shakespeare by the Sea ever since she was living in Mar Vista in the Venice Beach area and working in El Segundo.  She read somewhere about a free Shakespeare production at the Palos Verdes shopping center.  She was thrilled with our production that year in Palos Verdes and then attended two productions the following year in Hermosa and Redondo.  She loves to make a weekend out of attending our productions now, so for the last several years she plans a whole weekend where she stays in a Long Beach hotel and attends our shows on Friday and Saturday nights at Point Fermin.  She has come to look forward to this summer event every year!  People say she is crazy to drive that far, her answer to them is "I LOVE SHAKESPEARE BY THE SEA"  "I love to be in an atmosphere where others enjoy Shakespeare and therefore this makes me happy to share the same zest for Shakespeare as others while I attend the plays. I have brought friends and family over the years to share in the experience."  Her favorite performance over the years was The Merry Wives of Windsor. She said the “comedy and the way the actors used their body language throughout the production” made her laugh.
