I look forward with great anticipation every year to Shakespeare by the Sea. The stellar performances make you beam with pride for San Pedro. The professionalism of the actors and actresses is unsurpassed.

My grandchildren live in Arizona and I started taking them when they were very young. I was expecting them to ask to go home, but they sat there in rapt attention. They followed the plot and looked for the sword fights. They would wait for the end so that they could go backstage to meet the cast. Now they ask when the plays will start so that they can plan their trips to San Pedro accordingly. My hat goes off to Lisa Coffi et al for their efforts to keep this jewel available to all thespian lovers.
