Two Gentlemen of Verona and Romeo & JulietLove is in the air this year as we celebrate our 15th Anniversary of admission free Shakespeare.

Our 15th Season opens June 7 with the swashbuckling love story, Two Gentlemen of Verona -- thwarted lovers, heroines in disguise, scene-stealing servants (and their dogs) compete for love and laughs in this comedy that started it all! For our second production, which opens June 14, we’re presenting the timeless romantic drama, Romeo and Juliet -- against a backdrop of feuding families, two star-crossed lovers pledge their devotion, daring to believe that love will conquer all.

We’re looking forward to presenting these classic works at venues throughout the region. We’ll perform for 4 weeks at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro before commencing a multi-city tour throughout Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties for a total of 10 weeks of free Shakespeare. We’re committed to bringing Shakespeare directly into the community – please support our efforts by donating and becoming a member of our BIG FISH FAMILY today!

Share Your Passion!

Word of mouth is our most cost effective way to advertise. And we've set a goal to perform for 25,000 people this season. Help us meet and exceed that goal by sharing Shakespeare by the Sea with your friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, club members, etc. Here are 3 simple ways you can share SBTS without spending a dime.

  1. Post us on your Facebook page or Tweet about us
  2. Talk to everyone you know about our performances
  3. Join Lisa’s Club 100: Pass out 100 flyers (or more) in your community. Wherever you go, leave a trail of SBTS flyers behind -- libraries, coffee shops, salons, break rooms, recreation facilities, club meetings, church, etc. In exchange, we’ll be happy to reserve seats or space on the grass for you at one of our performances. Simply email Lisa Coffi lisa@shakespearebythesea.org with your address and a note with how many you’d like to distribute and she’ll mail them to you when they get printed in May.
